ABOUT THE EVENT
Araraquara celebrates the language of Dance once again, with the 20th edition of FIDA - International Dance Festival of Araraquara, from September 19 to 27, 2020.
Produced through a digital platform, the event promotes a great gathering of knowledge through lives (live presentations) held by the City Hall, through the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Fundart, with the invited curator Gilsamara Moura.
Araraquarense, dancer, teacher and researcher, Gilsamara Moura, brings to the festival the proposal in the form of the equation:

AXIS 1
MEETINGS: conversations about ways of looking at bodies today. Araraquara artists in meetings with other voices in the world.
Corazonando our LIVES, we have ANDANÇAS by Paulo César Lima - visual artist, photographer, graduated in Social Communication by FAAP presents the audiovisual Andanças, result of 15 years photographing dance shows. In this project, there are images of dance from Brazil and the world.
AXIS 2
ROUTES: conversations about ways of going through dance education and creation in childhood and youth.
A moment turned to the universe of childhood, with two lives offered on the weekend.

6 videos between 2 and 4 minutes of artists, groups and dance schools in Araraquara (Municipal Notice destined exclusively to local artists in Araraquara) were published on PMA platforms.

Production of the third edition of the collection “Ágora: ways of being in Dance - childhoods and youths - Vol. 3”. Launching in November, within the COLATERAL EFFECT action, of the International Dance Festival of Araraquara. Special edition for children and young people. Didactic NOW. This book contemplates broad places of speech, welcoming reflections that cross childhood and youth. They are texts that collaborate with the formation of a caring and loving look at the bodies and their teaching-learning processes, valuing plural, emancipatory and horizontal dialogues. It is a didactic material that will be distributed in public schools.

Launch of “Gestus 30 anos” videos, produced entirely by the Gestus Group. The videos are the first action to celebrate 3 decades of continuous work in dance, politics and contemporary thought. Gestus offers Araraquara this gift within an event that marked its trajectory - the International Dance Festival of Araraquara.
